Kiwanis Club makes donation to Lakeshore Pregnancy Center

For the second year, Tri-Cities Kiwanis Club has donated beach buckets to the Lakeshore Pregnancy Center Baby Boutique in April. The donations were a favorite of club members and was a big hit with parents who received them, according to Kiwanis members. The buckets include swim diapers and sunscreen, items that often are too expensive for parents to purchase for their children. The bright, inviting beach pails allow parents to connect with their child at the beach and make memories while enjoying the natural beauty of the community.

The Kiwanis Club donates items for babies and children to Lakeshore Pregnancy Center on a quarterly basis.

Everything Lakeshore Pregnancy Center provides is free, from diapers to pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and classes. The center is supported solely by donations, with no tax dollar contributions. Lakeshore Pregnancy Center offers baby and maternity items, as well as pregnancy and parenting education to anyone requesting it. In the on-site baby boutique, parents can select items with “points” earned through center visits or through participating in local health initiatives.

The boutique stocks new and gently used baby clothes and furnishings, maternity clothes, along with diapers, wipes, formula and baby food. To request an appointment, call 842-7510.
