Update: Grand River flood warning

The flood warning for the Grand River at Robinson Township in Ottawa County remains in effect until Thursday afternoon. The flood warning for the Grand River near Comstock Park in Kent County remains in effect until late Saturday. At around 7 p.m. Tuesday, the river level at Robinson Township was 13.5 feet, and minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. The flood stage there is 13.3 feet. The National Weather Service said later Tuesday night that the river is expected to fall below its flood stage there by early this afternoon.

The river at Comstock Park was slowly falling from a crest of 14 feet Sunday to about 12.5 feet this morning. It is expected to continue falling, and dip below its flood stage of 12 feet by early Thursday and below its 11-foot action stage this weekend.
