Holland Lions Club to host Tulip Time barbecue

The Holland Lions Club chicken barbecue will be a major part of the 2011 Holland Tulip Time Festival, serving their chicken barbecue dinner that includes a char-broiled half-chicken, salad, applesauce, roll and dessert, as well as a beverage. Dinners will be served from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 11-13. On Saturday, May 14, dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The dinners will take place at the big yellow tent on Eighth Street, between Maple and Washington, just west of the Holland Civic Center.

The complete meal costs $9. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Tulip Time office in Holland. 

All proceeds are used to help fund the Holland Lions Club service project, which provides eye examinations, lenses and frames to needy children and adults in the community.
