IA seeks donations for tornado victims

Local relief organization International Aid is taking donations to help victims of April's tornado outbreak in the South. The Christian nonprofit agency is collecting tarps, work gloves, toiletries and diapers for those affected by the April 27 tornado outbreak that left 342 people dead, including 250 in Alabama alone, according to The Associated Press.

IA is also accepting monetary donations, which will go to the agency’s partner groups that are currently helping those affected by the storms, according to a release. They will also be used to purchase chainsaws to help clear storm debris.

These items can be brought to IA’s headquarters, 17011 Hickory St. in Spring Lake Township.
