“I’ve been talking with area youth leaders and teachers about the need for a dynamic youth ministry that targets non-churched students,” he said. “We’re hoping to gather together a group of adults who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students in the area.”
Gabel said he decided to form the Young Life Club after noticing a significant decline in the past two years in the size and number of youth groups and ministries in the community.
“I think we’re in a pivotal time right now in the life of youth ministry in Grand Haven,” he said.
