GHHS principal promoted to assistant superintendent

Grand Haven High School's principal will have a new job in July. Scott Grimes has been selected to be the Grand Haven Area Public Schools' assistant superintendent of human services, and was picked from 28 candidates who applied for the job, Superintendent Keith Konarska said. The school board approved the promotion on Monday. Grimes will fill the position after John Thatcher steps down at the end of this school year. As for Grimes' replacement, the opening for a high school principal was announced Thursday, Konarska said.
