“It’s not a very big project — we’re projecting five weeks,” Janson said of the construction timeline. “Most of the time will be spent on utility tie-ins.”
The new bathroom facility will be built next to the City Beach parking lot, near the site where previous temporary food vendors were located in the past.

As a frequent beach goer, I really don't know what went in to the decision to build this city beach restroom facility, from first hand experience, the Porta Johns at the city beach were far cleaner than a typical day at the State Parks south restroom facilities..
Hope the cleanliness process has been well thought out !
Great. Another building for the city to take care of. Keep the "porta johns" or take the short walk over to the state park bathrooms....
I think it is a horrible waste of money considering the actual costs involved in it. If they let people put in actual "bids" for the whole job, I garuntee it would have been over half the cost. 2k for a drinking fountain? C'mon Grand Haven. I personally am getting pretty sick of seeing you and your employees wasting our Hard Earned Money!
When will they learn to just save some darn money....WASTE, BLOAT!! How many years has that City Beach been there without a bathroom....case closed!

C'mon Grand Haven, where's your brains? do we really need public restroooms at the City Beach? NO! and I suppose we have to pay for this just like the milage your trying to hit US with for your screw ups at Grand Landing Right? I mean seriously who in there right mind would want to live in a condo over looking US31, the shops are one thing and you knew there was contaminated soil there and the economy was already dead when you allowed this to be built. All your concerned about are the tourist's, not the residents of Grand Haven. Leave the Porta Jons and save us our hard earned money!!!!!!!!!!......
