ArtWalk 2011 to host special event May 26

The first formal Grand Haven ArtWalk 2011 event will be held on May 26 at Dee-Lite Bar & Grill, 24 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven. Artists, venues and volunteers will be attending the affair. So will sponsors and other friends of ArtWalk who wish to mix, mingle and enjoy live music. The festivities will run from 6-9 p.m. During the event, artists and venues will be able to register to participate in ArtWalk 2011, the three-week competition slated for Sept. 22 to Oct. 8.

Volunteers will also have the chance to sign up for positions ranging from wayfinder to special events assistant.

Online registration will open at midnight on May 26 for artists, venues and volunteers unable to attend.
