Space available at community garden on Grand Haven's east side

Thirty-two raised bed gardens are now available to interested households in the Tri-Cities. The garden is located on old celery fields at The Salvation Army, 310 N. DeSpelder St. in Grand Haven. Gardeners will plant, tend and harvest their own vegetables for their own use and to share with neighbors, friends and local food pantries. There will also be a common plot for all to share - raising sweet corn, squash, pumpkins and other plants needing lots of space. To date, a dozen households are signed up.
