UPDATE: Flood watch continues through tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for portions of central, south-central, southwest and west-central Michigan - including Ottawa County - through tonight. A southwest-to-northeast-oriented band of light to moderate rain, with some pockets of heavier rain, will occur today. This is in addition to significant rainfall that fell across portions of southwest Lower Michigan on Wednesday. It will result in the potential for some flooding. Steadier rain today will taper off to light rain showers tonight, before ending early Friday.
