Local American Legion to send 29 to Boys State

The local American Legion post is sending nearly 30 boys to the 72nd annual American Legion Wolverine Boys State, to be held June 19-25 on the campus of Northwood University in Midland. Post 28 in Grand Haven recently voted to send 29 boys to the weeklong event. The boys must be high school juniors. They are named through cooperation of the post, high school faculty and leading citizens. Legion Boys State and Auxiliary Legion Girls State are a practical learning experience in local and state government.
