“We hope the whole village comes out,” said Malea Nicolet, the Spring Lake church’s communications and membership development director. “Last summer, we had some impromptu concerts in our parking lot — and to honor our Sunday School teachers, we had a picnic. It was such a nice ‘community building’ time to be outside together. There were kids running around, bubbles and music. We wanted to take that a step further and have the whole community involved.”
The free weekly concerts run from 6-7:30 p.m. and will feature local talent. Concert-goers are invited to bring a picnic to the park.
Concerts will be held every Sunday evening through Aug. 14 (except June 19 and July 3).
