Lake Trust Credit Union gets second approval for relocation

Lake Trust Credit Union - formerly NuUnion Credit Union - received its second round of site plan approval to relocate the company's Grand Haven-area branch office to a smaller, vacant building farther west at the southeast corner of U.S. 31 and Robbins Road. The Grand Haven Township Planning Commission on Monday unanimously approved Lake Trust Credit Union's site plans to renovate the former Morris, Schnoor and Gremel building. Its current office is located several blocks to the east at 16916 Robbins Road.

The Planning Commission originally approved site plans for the credit union in March 2010. However, because building renovations have not yet begun, the site plans required another approval from township officials as they are only valid for 12 months, according to Township Manager Bill Cargo.

Site plans for the credit union remain similar to the ones approved in 2010 except for modifications to the landscaping plans and adding 479 feet to enlarge the foyer and lobby of the existing building.
