Applications can be found in the Grand Haven Tribune, at the Chamber office located at 1 South Harbor Drive. Those who register by Friday will be guaranteed event T-shirts; however registrations will be taken up to, and including the day of the event.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the information tent on City Beach on June 25. Participants are given a two-hour time block, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., to sculpt the sand without any artificial supports. Judges will consider theme, originality and difficulty, and first through third places will be awarded medals in each category shortly after the scores have been tallied. Spectators will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.
The event is sponsored by Chemical Bank, Pfaff Pharmacy, Plante & Moran, Apparel Sales Company, Grand Haven Tribune, and Panera Bread.
