Several GH Twp. roads to be resurfaced

Eight roads in Grand Haven Township will be resurfaced this summer, while one road will receive several coats of sealant. The Township Board on Monday unanimously approved contracts with the Ottawa County Road Commission to resurface 2.37 miles in the township. The total cost of the contracts is estimated at $255,612.

The following roads will be resurfaced: Channel Road; Kevin, Harry and Deremo streets; Westwind Lane; and O’Brien Court. Brucker Street will be resurfaced from Lakeshore Avenue west to the end, and 161st Avenue will be resurfaced from Robbins Road to Mercury Drive.

The Road Commission will also apply seal coating and chip sealing on Johnson Street from 168th Avenue east to the end, according to Township Manager Bill Cargo.
