Longtime SL optometrist leads Shoreline Vision’s 7th location

Shoreline Vision officials say their village satellite office is proving to be a strategic location. The company's seventh location opened in January at 625 E. Savidge St., a site formerly occupied by G&L Chili Dogs. Dr. John Nametz, a longtime local optometrist, joined Shoreline Vision and said he brought many of his patients with him. Nametz has practiced in the village since 1982.

“We are busier than anticipated,” said Nametz, who is also president of the Spring Lake Board of Education. “It’s been a good transition for us.”

The Spring Lake location will host a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with kids games, giveaways, hot dogs and ice cream.

Shoreline Vision also has locations in Muskegon, North Muskegon, Norton Shores, Grand Haven and Fremont.
