Zoo animals to visit local libraries Tuesday

Loutit and Spring Lake district libraries will host representatives from the Binder Park Zoo on Tuesday. The Battle Creek zoo will present "Folk Tales from Around the World' to complement the local public libraries' Summer Reading Club theme, "One World, Many Stories.' Zoo representatives will bring live animals along with skulls, furs, horns and antlers. The program continues through stories and skits as representatives present traditional folk tales from different cultures developed to explain the way the animals.

Loutit District Library, 407 Columbus Ave. in Grand Haven, will host the first program at 10:30 a.m. It will be repeated at Spring Lake District Library, 123 E. Exchange St. in Spring Lake, at 2 p.m.

This Summer Reading Club event is a collaborative effort of the two libraries and the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. For more information, visit www.loutitlibrary.org or www.sllib.org.
