Flash flood watch

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for portions of Southwest and West-Central Michigan, including Ottawa County, through Friday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms moving across the region may produce heavy rainfall at times, with the potential of 3 or more inches over a relatively short period of time where storms persist and repeat. Road washouts and closures are possible, as well as basement flooding.
