Cotner leaves Loutit District Library board after 11 years

After 11 years of service, Roger Cotner is stepping down from the Loutit District Library Board. In his letter of resignation to the board, the local attorney said "it has been a real privilege' to be associated with the library, and he felt it was "time for someone else to bring new and fresh perspectives to this important position.'

During his course of serving as one of the city of Grand Haven’s two representatives on the district library board, Cotner said he was involved with many accomplishments — from being a new district library when he was first appointed, to what he felt was his most significant involvement: improvements to the facility.

“I think without a doubt our single biggest accomplishment is the beautiful renovation in the facility,” Cotner said Friday.
