Female business owner networking group meets Thursday

A Grand Haven personal trainer is spearheading a female business owner networking series at area establishments. Brenda Boterenbrood said she's learned the importance of word-of-mouth advertising in her certified personal trainer business and wants to share that magic with other local entrepreneurs. The next gathering is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday at Dreese Fine Art & Framing, 701 E. Savidge St., Suite C, in Spring Lake. Those interested in attending must first call 616-566-2241.

“The first time we met, none of us really knew each other,” said Boterenbrood, who launched the female business owners gatherings in March. “It’s a great way for us to show off our businesses and network with other women.”

Boterenbrood said she’s trying not to have duplicate businesses represented.

“Each person has a distinctive business and we’re trying not to have repeats,” said Boterenbrood, who is also an inventor.
