Businesses sought for Chamber’s ‘Boomerang’ event

For the fourth year in a row, the Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg will be hosting a career exploration event called "Boomerang' in an effort to connect local business professionals with area youth. The Chamber is now registering businesses for this year's event, which will take place on Oct. 25. Local businesses will spend that day interacting with nearly 800 local high school students.

“Boomerang” is a career exploration event designed to attract local talent back to the area after pursuing higher education. This goal is achieved by showcasing local companies and the kinds of talent they hire, Chamber officials say.

Commitment forms for businesses interested in participating in the event are available online at www.ghboomerang.org or by e-mailing Courtney Olson at colson@grandhavenchamber.org.

Businesses who return their form by Aug. 12 will receive $10 off the registration fee of $165. The booth fee includes one 8-foot table, two chairs, linens, electric outlets if needed and food for two exhibitors.
