Since June 2010, payroll jobs in Michigan increased by 53,000, or 1.4 percent. That includes 22,000 more professional and business services jobs, 17,000 more in manufacturing, 16,000 more in education and health services, and 11,000 more in construction.
June brought job decreases in the areas of manufacturing, information, and professional and business services. Leisure and hospitality services jobs rose by 8,000 last month.
