White River Gallery ‘Barn’ fundraiser is July 31

The annual "Art in the Barn' fundraiser for White River Gallery is 5-9 p.m. Sunday, July 31. "This year, a new format will create a concert (and) festival-like atmosphere,' said the event's chairwoman, Sheila Passenier. "Look for pockets of art installed throughout the area, as at Meijer Gardens; two bands taking to the stage in a concert setting; and sweet, simple and seriously local cuisine.'

The annual event is a major fundraiser for White River Gallery, a branch of the Arts Council of White Lake. The venue is the Schiller/Lundquist Barn, 5807 Lamos Road in Whitehall.

Tickets are $30 in Montague at the Gallery, 8701 Ferry St.; the Arts Council of White Lake office, 8695 Ferry St.; and the Book Nook and Java Shop, 8726 Ferry St.

They will also be available early at Terrestrial Forming Pottery Studio, 5385 Lamos Road in Whitehall. Tickets are $35 at the door.
