Sounds of Summer concert series ends tonight

The final concert in this year's Sounds of Summer series is tonight at Pottawattomie Park in Grand Haven Township. Event organizer Dave Palmer said that there will be "a ton of stuff going on' at the series finale from 7-9 p.m. "It is a variety show called the Dave & Dave Show,' Palmer said.

One of the event highlights, Palmer said, will be the debut of the music video for his song, “Burn Baby Burn.” Palmer filmed the video earlier this year when his old house was burned down by the Grand Haven Township fire department for training.

“We are going to debut that at the end of the show,” he said.

The event will also feature live music, a pig roast, activities for children, and raffles and prize giveaways.

“We’ve got over $2,000 worth of stuff we’re giving away,” Palmer said.

Items range from a new set of tires from Z-Tire, music instruments, gift certificates to local restaurants and a weekend getaway for two at Harbour House Inn.

“The concert series at that park is always full,” Palmer said. “It has been a success since we started.”
