Kids to make snow goggles on Aug. 23

Area kids will be thinking of snow at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Children will have the opportunity to create their own snow goggles - like the ones made by Algonquin Indians to protect their eyes from the glare of the sun on the snow - at the museum's "Tuesdays History for Kids' program from 10-11 a.m. The free make-it-and-take-it program takes place at the museum's Akeley Building, 200 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven. Advanced registration is not required.
