Township approves Robbins Road Sub-Area Plan

The Robbins Road Sub-Area Plan is now part of the township's Master Plan. The Grand Haven Township Planning Commission on Monday unanimously approved the plan as an amendment to the township's Master Plan. "It's all done,' Township Manager Bill Cargo said. "... All the steps have been followed.' The Robbins Road Sub-Area Plan is a joint effort between Grand Haven city and the township to provide for better design and access management along the corridor.

Short- and long-term plans for the corridor include changing access points along the road, reconfiguring the road from four lanes to three lanes, adding bicycle lanes, and adding sidewalk access on the north and south sides of the street.

The plan is still under review by city officials.
