This family event brings together more than a dozen local culinary artisans and restaurants preparing a vast array of edibles. Featured items this year include barbecue sandwiches, Margarita chicken, roasted chicken, pork ribs, ice cream desserts, pies, pizza, and various wraps and sandwiches. Some of the restaurants joining the Taste of Saugatuck this year are Mermaid Bar & Grill, The White House Bistro, Wick’s Park Bar & Grille, The Hickory Pit, Spectators, River Market,

Kilwin’s, Salt of the Earth, Fennville Station, Uncommon Grounds, Earl’s Farm Market and Zing.

A beer tent featuring beer from the Saugatuck Brewing Co. is being featured; along with wine from all three local wineries: Fenn Valley, Tabor Hill and Round Barn.

A special kids corner will be available to entertain children. This year will also see the return of Shoreline Realtor’s “Celebrity Dunk Tank.” The Gazebo in the park will feature live entertainment all afternoon.

There is no general admission charge. Food and beverage tickets are available in 50-cent increments and no single taste item is more than $5.

Taste of Saugatuck, through its association with the Saugatuck/Douglas Convention & Visitors Bureau, raises funds for local school scholarships and events. This year, co-chairs Sharon Shanahan and David Barton said the event will offer a scholarship for a student entering the hospitality and culinary industry.
