Museum to host tour of CG Station Grand Haven

Have you ever wondered what exactly the Coast Guard does on a daily basis? Have you ever wanted to see what the inside of one of those rescue boats looks like? The Tri-Cities Historical Museum is hosting a tour of Coast Guard Station Grand Haven at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19. The tour is limited to 15 people, so advanced registration is necessary. Those attending are asked to park across from the Coast Guard Station in the city parking lot, adjacent to the Grand Haven Board of Light & Power diesel plant.

Because the tour includes the main station and going aboard one of their lifesaving boats, those attending need to have no physical  limitations.

To sign up or for more information on this free program, call the museum at 842-0700.
