C2C Gallery event allows artists to showcase talent

Artists are are being given an opportunity to show their talents to the public in an ongoing art series being conducted at the C2C Gallery, 41 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven. The third event in the series took place Friday night and featured Ypsilanti-based pastel artist Shaun Williams. "I just got into the pastels four years ago and I've been heavily into it since then,' he said.

Williams, who creates photo-realistic depictions of landscapes and seascapes, said he was invited to participate in the event after sending a package to the gallery's owner, Cyndi Johnson.

With the third event in the books, there is still time for people to come and watch other artists in the future.

“We have two more planned for September, and then we’ll be doing one in November and one in December,” Johnson said. “Through the winter months, I’ll continue it.”
