GH to commemorate 9/11 with fire truck display

The city of Grand Haven will be commemorating the Sept. 11, 2001 anniversary all day on Sunday. At 12:01 a.m., the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety will have its ladder truck on display with the ladder up at the public safety office, 525 Washington Ave. A flag will be draped off the ladder and it will hang over Washington Avenue.

The ladder truck will be there all day and will go back into the firehouse at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Mayor Roger Bergman said it is the city’s way of honoring the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
