Benefit dog wash set for Sept. 24

Dirty dogs from throughout the Tri-Cities are invited to come clean at Harborfront Hospital for Animals from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. The "Oh You Dirty Dog Wash' will be held in the clinic's parking lot, 807 W. Savidge St. in Spring Lake. Dogs will be shampooed, conditioned and towel dried, and receive a scarf or a bow as well as a dog treat. A bake sale will also be held in conjunction with the event.

All donations made throughout the day will benefit the family of Zach Bugielski, a 2011 Spring Lake High School graduate injured in a recent accident.

In the event of inclement weather, the wash will take place indoors at Harborfront Hospital for Animals.
