Library to host virtual visit Saturday with best-selling author

Spring Lake District Library will be hosting a virtual visit via Skype with best-selling mystery author J.A. Jance at 2 p.m. Saturday. Jance will include a reading from her latest novel, "Betrayal of Trust,' which debuted at No. 9 on the New York Times Bestseller List. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak with the author via the video conferencing technology and purchase a book from The Bookman, which will include a book plate signed by the author.

Judith Ann Jance is the author of the popular “J.P. Beaumont” mystery series, “Joanna Brady” series and Ali Reynolds series. She’s written four interrelated thrillers about the Walker Family and a book of poetry entitled “After the Fire.” Jance has penned more than 43 books, and has more than 20 million copies in print.

Before launching her writing career in the early 1980s, Jance taught high school English, worked as a K-12 librarian on an Indian reservation, and spent 10 years in the life insurance industry.
