Class for drawing cats and dogs at library Sept. 29

Aspiring artists are encouraged to learn basic line structure for drawing their favorite dogs and cats with local artist and instructor Corinne Roberts from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Loutit District Library's Program Room A. Students need to bring paper, pencil and an eraser. Photographs of their pets or favorite breeds to draw from are welcome.

Roberts is a local caricature artist for festivals, company parties and private commissions. She graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design with a bachelor’s of fine arts degree in Illustration. She currently teaches at Kendall College through their Continuing Studies Program — instructing adults and children on caricatures, cartooning and watercolor.

Registration is required either online at www.loutitlibrary.org or by visiting the Adult Information Desk at the library, 407 Columbus Ave.

The library will be accepting cash donations, and dog and cat food to be delivered to the Harbor Humane Society during the week of this class. Students are welcome to drop off any donations the night of the class as well.
