Free writing workshop at Herrick District Library

In partnership with Hope College, Herrick District Library will host author Heather Sellers from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Sellers will discusses her book, "You Don't Look Like Anyone I Know.' Following her talk, there will be a book signing and a free boxed lunch provided for participants. After lunch, Sellers will lead a two-hour writing workshop on "writing your story.'

Sellers earned a Ph.D. in English and creative writing at Florida State University. She’s a professor of English at Hope College, where she teaches poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction writing courses.

She won an NEA grant for fiction and her first book of fiction, “Georgia Under Water,” as part of the Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers program.
