JCI to hold job fair in GH today

Johnson Controls is holding a job fair in Grand Haven from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. The company said it is looking to fill a total of 100 open, permanent positions for its B and C shifts. Work hours are 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The B shift works Tuesday through Friday and the C shift works Friday through Monday.

The positions to be filled are material handlers, mechanical technicians, maintenance and quality technicians. Wages for these positions start at $10.50 per hour, with a shift premium. The starting wage for B shift is $10.80 per hour. The starting wage for C shift is $10.95 per hour. Benefits start immediately upon being hired.

The job fair will be held at the Grand Haven office of Ottawa County Michigan Works, 1830 172nd Ave., in the D&W Plaza.

Applicants are asked to bring their resume. Individuals are welcome to use the computers on-site to create/update their resume and print hard copies. There is also free wireless Internet service available.
