First Educators Working for Relevancy class graduates

The Educators Working for Relevancy group held a graduation celebration at the Grand Haven Community Center on Tuesday night. The initiative is a partnership between the local Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg and the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District. It paired seven teachers from the Grand Haven and Spring school districts with a business or organization related to the subjects they teach during the school year.

After a series of workshops in June, the teachers spent at least 40 hours over a two-week period this summer observing their business’ operations and developing student work plans using what they learned.
