Aerial photographer to make presentation Oct. 11

Pilot and aerial photographer Marge Beaver will share her aerial photographs during a presentation at Spring Lake District Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11. Beaver will talk about how her plane is outfitted, what type of camera and lenses she uses, and her custom color lab. With more than 25 years experience, Beaver has taken photos of nearly every state in the United States. Her bird's-eye view photos have graced the covers of more than 40 books and magazines.

Beaver has three coffee-table-style books of photos to her credit: “Above West Michigan,” “Above the North” and “Above the Lighthouses: Lake Michigan.” All three contain images of West Michigan — including orchards, flowers, lakes, harbors, rivers, sunken ships and lighthouses. Copies of Beaver’s books will be available for purchase and signing following the free presentation.
