SL church holding food drive Oct. 8-16

Spring Lake Presbyterian Church will conduct a "Fill the Truck' food drive from Oct. 8-16 as part of its Mission Week to assist the Tri-Cities area. This is a community challenge to collect nonperishable food items, cleaning products and paper goods. They can be dropped off at the designated trailer in the parking lot of the church between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. each day of the drive.

“It is our hope that local residents and area businesses in the Tri-Cities can be part of this event to feed the hungry by making a donation to help us fill the truck and make this a great success,” said Judy Tanis, chairwoman of the church’s Mission Council.

All donations collected will be distributed locally to agencies and food pantries, assisting those with food insecurities.

Spring Lake Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of Savidge Street (M-104) and DeWitt Lane.

For more information, call the church at 842-5060.
