Silent Witness is an annual event to remember women and children in Michigan who have died because of domestic or dating violence. It is held during October, recognizing the month as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Speakers at the GVSU event will include Charisse Mitchell, executive director for the Center for Women in Transition; and Lesley Coghill, D.E.L.T.A. project coordinator at the Center for Women in Transition.

Individuals who died last year will be represented by full-size cutouts and a volunteer will read their story. Readers will include members from the GVSU student organization Eyes Wide Open, YWCA West Central Michigan and Center for Women in Transition.
