Marching band invitational Saturday at GHHS

Grand Haven High School will host a marching band invitational starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the school's Buccaneer Stadium. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens, and free for children under age 5. Athletic passes do not apply for this event. Fremont will start off the performances of Class C bands at 6:15 p.m. They will be followed by Montague at 6:30 p.m., Shelby at 6:45 p.m. and Whitehall at 7 p.m.

There will be a short break before the start of the Class B bands, including Fruitport at 7:30 p.m. and Spring Lake at 7:45 p.m. Mona Shores and Muskegon, both Class A bands, will follow at 8 and 8:15 p.m.

The Grand Haven High School Marching Band will perform an exhibition at 8:30 p.m. and awards will be given at approximately 8:50 p.m.
