Brooke Waggoner to play Knickerbocker on Oct. 17

The Hope College Concert Series will feature Brooke Waggoner at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland. Waggoner will headline with a full band, featuring an assortment of instruments including violin and cello. She will play selections from various albums - including her most recent offering, "Go Easy Little Doves.' Both the album and its predecessor, "Heal for the Honey,' debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts.

In 2009, Waggoner won the Nashville Music Award for NBN Emerging Artist of the Year and was nominated for an Independent Music Award for Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album. In 2010, Waggoner released a live DVD of one of her concerts featuring a full orchestra.

Her music has appeared on numerous TV shows — including ABC Family’s “Greek,” “Kyle XY” and “Pretty Little Liars”; ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”; CBS’s “Ghost Whisperer”; and Lifetime’s “Army Wives.” Waggoner has also been a part of the long-running NPR radio show “Mountain Stage.”

Tickets are $10 for the general public and $3 for Hope College students, and are available at the ticket office in the main lobby of the DeVos Fieldhouse. 
The ticket office is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and can be called at 616-395-7890. 

Public tickets are also available for purchase online at https://tickets.hope.edu/ticketing. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.

The DeVos Fieldhouse is located at 222 Fairbanks Avenue, between Ninth and 11th streets. The Knickerbocker Theatre is located in downtown Holland at 86 E. Eighth St.

The doors will open on the night of the concert at 7:30 p.m. and an opening band will begin the show at 8 p.m.
