Threat of phragmites to be presented

The Owashtanong Island Audubon Society's meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 18, will feature a presentation on phragmites.

Leslie Newman will discuss the threat of phragmites to wetlands and the control procedures ongoing at Spring Lake and Harbor Island.

The presentation will be held at the United Methodist Church of the Dunes, 717 Sheldon Road in Grand Haven, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
