Motown, disco concerts to benefit United Way

A special "Fall Concert Series' of Motown and Disco music has been announced by Mona Lake Productions. The first concert will take place at the Frauenthal Theater at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and will feature Karen Durrant's "Dreamgirls: A Tribute to the Supremes and Tina Turner.' Durrant provides an authentic tribute to Diana Ross & The Supremes and the high energy of Turner.

The second concert of the fall series is “Night Fever: The Magic and Music of the Bee Gees.” This concert is at the Frauenthal at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25. The close harmonies of brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb have made the Bee Gees one of the most impossible attractions in music to replicate.

Proceeds from the two concerts will benefit the United Way of the Lakeshore’s Capital Campaign for its new Human Services Center.
