Jane Millar attended meetings of the Rotary Club of Grand Haven at noon Monday at the Community Center and Tuesday morning at Consider it Done.

Rotary International District 6290 stretches from Holland to Wawa, Ontario, Canada — north of Sault Ste. Marie); and is made up of 61 individual clubs.

Millar is touring the entire district this year, and is taking a run in every community to raise funds and awareness for Rotary’s pledge to wipe out polio worldwide. After her lunch meeting Monday with the local Rotary, she ran from Spring Lake to the Grand Haven lighthouses and back.

Millar is the executive director of Northern Community Mediation in Petoskey. She’s been an active Petoskey Rotarian since 1998, having served as that club’s president from 2005-06.

While in Grand Haven, Millar took in the new splash pad at Chinook Pier, and complimented the club on local involvement and promotion of Rotary ideals.
