Construction is scheduled from the Spring Lake Channel Bridge to Lake Avenue, according to Michigan Department of Transportation spokesman John Richard.

“They’ll be updating the sidewalks to be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant,” Richard said. “It’s going to take three to four weeks.”

The road shoulder will be closed throughout construction. Eastbound lanes will be open during afternoon rush hour (2:30-6 p.m.) and westbound lanes will open from 6-8:30 a.m., according to Richard.
