Audubon Society to host program on invaders

The Owashtanong Islands Audubon Society will host a program on invasive species at its Tuesday, Nov. 15, meeting.

It will be held at the United Methodist Church of the Dunes, 717 Sheldon Road in Grand Haven, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Daniel O’Keefe will discuss the effects of foreign invaders on the Great Lakes. He will explore lessons learned from past invasions and discuss Asian carp biology and control options.

The presentation is made possible in part by a grant from the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
