The “Grand Haven Light Night” event is scheduled for 5-9 p.m.

Students from Lakeshore Christian Academy will be performing Christmas carols from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Participating stores will host holiday open houses with special promotions and gift ideas.

Dana Kollewehr, director of the Grand Haven Main Street DDA, said the third annual “Light Night” will help kick off the holiday season. She said local businesses and florists Euroflora, City Farmer and Grand Haven Garden House, and the Boy Scouts will be selling fresh greenery and taking orders.

In addition, free commemorative mugs filled with cider from Vander Mill will be given to the first 400 guests who arrive.
