The play explores the many complications that can occur when young people fall head-over-heels in love. The Hope production is set in the late 1960s and early 1970s — a time of experimentation, rebellion and social change. The looks and the sounds of that period are being investigated to aid in the rendering of the play.

The production is co-directed by senior Elizabeth Dwyer of Ypsilanti and faculty member John Tammi.

The cast of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” includes senior Annelise Belmonte of Northbrook, Ill.; junior Katie Colburn of Holland; freshman Dylan Connor of Tallahassee, Fla.; sophomore Molly Coyle of Hamilton; senior Kelsey Cratty of Rockford, Ill.; junior Sophia Daly of Plymouth; sophomore Alexa Duimstra of Appleton, Wis.; freshman Jared Duimstra of Appleton, Wis.; junior Skye Edwards of Morrison, Colo.; sophomore Kelly Eubank of Louisville, Ky.; sophomore Lauren Ezzo of Haslett; freshman John Haga of Rochester; junior Haley Hodges of Hart; sophomore Angelica Kurtz of Streamwood, Ill.; junior Josh McCammon of Ann Arbor; freshman Bridget McCarthy of Grand Haven; senior Caitlin Seay of Grandville; junior Jesse Swatling-Holcomb of Oakland, Calif.; senior John Telfer of Western Springs, Ill.; and senior Christoff Visscher of Silver Spring, Md.

Tickets for “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” are $10 for regular admission, $7 for senior citizens and Hope faculty and staff, and $5 for students; and are available at the ticket office in the main lobby of the DeVos Fieldhouse. The ticket office is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and may be called at 616-395-7890.
