During the journey, Santa’s elves will escort children to a special seat for their visit with “The Jolly Old Fellow.” All kids get a nice present.

During the journey, The Story-Telling Princess will read “The Polar Express,” which was written by Chris VanAllsburg of Grand Rapids.

All four vintage railcars are heated and each has a restroom on board. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras!

The first runs of the Santa Train depart the station in downtown Coopersville on Thanksgiving weekend: Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m.

The train will run every Saturday and Sunday in December until Christmas. December Saturday departures are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday departures are at 1 and 3 p.m.
