Donations made in memoriam or in honor of loved ones are recognized on individual, customized ornaments, featuring the honoree’s name. Each ornament is placed by a Hospice volunteer on the Tree of Life, where it can be viewed and celebrated by all who visit through Dec. 31.

“Each year, Hospice of North Ottawa Community places the Tree of Life on display as a way to not only honor loved ones whom we’ve lost, but also in celebration of lives well-lived,” said Wendy Creason, fund development manager for the local hospice.

Donations to the Tree of Life campaign give ongoing financial support that enables Hospice of North Ottawa Community to continue its mission of providing compassionate care for those dealing with terminal illness. That care includes the North Ottawa Community Health System’s bereavement program that is available free to anyone experiencing loss.

A letter will be sent to each honoree or their family members acknowledging gifts.

Donations can be made by contacting Hospice of North Ottawa Community at 846-2015.
